The Korean Basketball Association of Americas (KBAA), the official basketball arm of the Korean Sports Association U.S.A. is proud to announce the 2026 Select Team, assembled directly from the standout talent at this season’s highly competitive KBAA Nationals in Toronto. Composed primarily of elite former collegiate athletes, this roster represents the absolute pinnacle of basketball talent of Korean descent across North America. From October 19th through October 24th the team will be in the Seoul area, this elite squad of hoopers will take the court to engage with the very best in Korean hoops, showcasing their talent and skills with their Korean brothers.
More than just a showcase of athletic excellence, this tour serves as a powerful cultural homecoming for all our players, who are of Korean descent. For these athletes, basketball is the bridge that allows them to meaningfully reconnect with their roots and honor their shared history. By sharing the court with their Korean brothers, the team looks to forge deeper lifelong bonds, cultivate mutual respect, and celebrate a profound appreciation for their Korean heritage. We hope to share our passion for hoops and Korea by meeting and playing against elite competitive teams to elevate each other's basketball experience and passion. |
대한체육회의 공식 농구팀인 미주한인농구협회(KBAA)는 이번 시즌 토론토에서 열리는 치열한 경쟁을 벌이고 있는 KBAA 내셔널스에서 뛰어난 재능을 바탕으로 직접 모인 2026 셀렉트 팀을 발표하게 되어 자랑스럽습니다. 엘리트 전직 대학 선수들을 주축으로 구성된 이 선수단은 북미 전역에서 한국계 농구 인재의 절대적인 정점을 상징합니다. 10월 19일부터 10월 24일까지 열리는 이번 엘리트 후퍼들은 코트에서 한국 최고의 후프들과 소통하며 그들의 재능과 실력을 선보일 예정입니다.
이번 투어는 단순한 운동의 우수성을 보여주는 것 이상으로, 한국계 선수들 모두에게 강력한 문화 홈커밍의 장이 되고 있습니다. 농구는 선수들이 뿌리와 의미 있게 다시 연결되고 공유한 역사를 기릴 수 있는 가교 역할을 합니다. 한국 형제들과 코트를 공유함으로써 더 깊은 평생의 유대감을 형성하고 상호 존중을 함양하며 한국의 유산에 대한 깊은 감사를 표하고자 합니다. 엘리트 경쟁팀을 만나 경기를 통해 서로의 농구 경험과 열정을 높이는 등 후프와 한국에 대한 열정을 나누고 싶습니다. |
In 2019 , KBAA (previously known as KNABA) sent a team with the Korean Sports delegation to join the 100th Korean Sports Festival in Seoul. While they were not able to participate in the tournament itself, they were able to meet their Korean brothers on the hardwood floor or competition as well as camaraderie. It is our hope that members of the 2026 KBAA Korean Tour team will also be able to enjoy the experience and meet teams to play competitive games and also have opportunity to connect with Korean hoopers.
